  1. Itoobiyana dhibka haystaa waa nidaamka FEDERAALKA, ee ay Tigreegu ku dhex tuureen Itoobiya iyo Soomaaliya.

Nimankii TIGREEGA ahaa, Itoobiyana madaxay isu galiyeen, Soomaaliyana madaxayn isu galiyeen. Arrintan hadda Itoobiya ka socotaa ka wayn nin la dilay, si fiican bay u dhaansanyihiin; waa is wada gaadayaan. Kaaga darane, dastuurkooda waxa ay Tigreegu ku dareen qawmiyaddii rabtaa way goosan kartaa. Waxa aan u malaynayaa dastuurka Garoowe iyagaa qoray. Annagoo sidan isu haysanna hadday nagu soo qaxaan, waddankaba waa naga qaadanayaan; boqol milyan oo kugu soo qaxday.

  2. * THINGS WON’T BE THE SAME AGAIN *

The Covid pandemic might be making a quick comeback at a time when the world is reeling from the impact of its initial wave. The implications couldn’t be direr for the most deprived parts of the globe and particularly conflict zones like Somalia. The economies of the donor countries have taken a massive hit and the consequences will be much worse for the poorer nations who have been reliant on aid packages like our country Somalia.

This, naturally, should be a serious cause for concern for all of us but I can only share any honest advice with my own kinsfolk who occupy Puntland, Jubbaland, and Gedo; the reason being that the rest are solely responsible for our country’s terrible state of affairs and seem not to be bothered at all. In fact, the word in the air is that the SNM and USC fanatics (who form the backbone of the terrorist groups and other marauding tribal militias crippling our nation) are extremely jubilant about the disaster that the pandemic will unleash on Somalia’s finances when foreign dries up because it will present an even greater opportunity for them to wreak havoc on the country in pursuit of their sick agenda of thwarting a Somalia reborn again and able to sustain itself. As a consequence, there can be no what could be termed as a collective approach as a nation. It will be a case of “every region for itself and God for us all”.

    • In light of this background, this honest advice of mine is intended for my kinsfolk as mentioned above. There are, undoubtedly, tough times ahead as of next year. This calls for urgent collective action within the entire Daarood Diaspora given that time is at the premium. What I humbly suggest is for the political class in Puntland, Jubbaland, and Gedo region to close ranks and devise a strategy that ensures the provision of food, medicines, and other essentials is not disrupted for our people in these regions come 2021 and onwards.

Our leaders must push all else aside and prioritize the interests of our kinsfolk in these regions. They must bring together all wealthy entrepreneurs who hail from these regions across the world and press on them the need for a common course of action in terms of raising funds and also maintaining all the supply chains and channels for the importation of essential commodities. Better still, some of the funds should be used to support our farmers with expertise and equipment so as to ensure food is available in abundance in these regions. They could even easily create an expansive production and economic corridor spanning the length and breadth of all these regions. why not? And among other things, punitive measures should be implemented to completely thwart any attempts at hoarding, price hikes, and other related forms of public exploitation. If we achieve this, then it may serve as both a golden opportunity and a template to forge an even larger regional state that comprises Jubbland, Gedo region, and Puntland in the near future.
